Plugging Into NY’s Future: EV Ownership & Charging Installation Incentives Explained” is the topic for the Lunch and Learn that will be offered as a webinar and in the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce office, 301 N. Union St., on Nov. 16 at noon.Presenter Adam Jester, owner of Bamboo Strategy Group, will discuss the advantages of electric vehicle use and adding more charging stations to the community. According to a GOACC press release, Jester will provide a concise overview of the grant incentives available specifically for New York businesses that install EV charging stations at their locations.

“Aside from the immediate revenue opportunity for host businesses, offering EV charging is key as we look to attract new visitors, more and more of whom drive EV’s, to the Greater Olean Area,” the release stated. “Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, ask questions, and empower yourself with the knowledge needed to embrace a greener, more sustainable way of commuting.

“The chamber also noted that Jester “will demystify the world of EV ownership, breaking down the basics for everyone interested in making the switch to eco-friendly transportation. From understanding the different types of chargers, to an overview of the costs to purchase and charge EVs, attendees will gain valuable insights into the future of automotive technology.

“Lunch and Learn is a series of monthly workshops conducted by local business experts, chamber members and associates of chamber partners to bring together people in an informal atmosphere to collaborate and learn and to drive personal, team and business development. The December one will feature Brian Kelly, who will focus on “Web 101.”
