Nexigo Energy partners with Alium Batteries |Eyes exports to the USA

Nexigo Energy, a company specialising in the design and manufacturing of EV batteries, has announced a strategic partnership with USA-based Alium Batteries, a subsidiary of 1776 Energy Group. The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed on June 19, 2025, at Nexigo’s technical centre in Hyderabad, India. The collaboration aims to explore opportunities in the medical, industrial, power tools, and light electric vehicle (LEV) segments in both the USA and Indian markets.


Nexigo Energy focuses on research and development for electric vehicle (EV) and energy storage applications. The company designs and manufactures battery management systems, battery packs, and chargers for use in EV and energy storage systems in India.


Vivek Maripudi, CEO at Nexigo Energy, stated that the partnership with Alium will help expand the company’s reach into new application areas such as Medical, Industrial, and LEV, as well as new geographies, including the USA. He added that the collaboration supports Nexigo’s plan to establish a manufacturing facility with a capacity of 1 GWh by 2030. The company also aims to scale products developed in India for global use.


Alium Batteries provides lithium-ion battery packs, chargers, and power products for mobility. industrial, and medical sectors. The company focuses on system integration, supply chain management, and customized energy solutions for mobile and stationary applications. Alium also works with North American OEMs to bring energy storage solutions to market. By capitalizing on Nexigo’s R&D, engineering and manufacturing expertise, Alium seeks to expedite the time-to-market for battery solutions that comply with rigorous American standards and certifications.
