Zeekr Delivers Its First EV In Europe, A 536 HP 001 Shooting Brake

Zeekr has just delivered its first car in Europe, handing over the keys for a 001 to a customer at its new Hi-Tech Service Center in Zeist, Netherlands.

The Chinese company started accepting pre-orders for the 001 Shooting Brake in the Netherlands and Sweden on June 28 and 35 days later, the first European models started to roll off the production line. The first 001 delivered is the flagship Privilege AWD variant and present at the handover was Zeekr Europe chief executive Spiros Fotinos, chief commercial officer Lothar Schupet, and head of sales for the Netherlands, Marc Bras.

Prices for the Zeekr 001 start from €59,490 (~$64,200) for the single motor Long Range version and jump to €62,490 (~$67,400) for the dual-motor Performance AWD and €67,490 (~$72,800) for the Privilege AWD. The latter variant rocks a pair of electric motors that combine to produce 536 hp (400 kW) and 506 lb-ft (686 Nm) of torque, allowing it to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.8 seconds and travel 580 km (360 miles) on a single charge. The EV also supports fast charging and its battery can be topped up from 0-80% in 30 minutes.

“We’ve recently opened our first European ZEEKR Center in Stockholm and – in just a few days – Amsterdam. Now we are happy to hand over our first vehicle internationally – here, in the Netherlands,” Fotinos said at the handover ceremony. “This is very proud moment for all of us, and we’re delighted to see the first of many customers in Europe experiencing for themselves what makes ZEEKR unique. We are committed to making the transition to full electric simple, seamless, and effortless – not when e-mobility becomes an obligation, but right now, so that we can all contribute to a more sustainable future.”

Zeekr will continue to ramp up deliveries of the 001 across Europe and next year, will also start deliveries of the X SUV.
