Rolls-Royce Delivers First Spectre EV For America

The Rolls-Royce Spectre has officially made its way to America in the hands of long-time customer and avid car collector Michael Fux. The unit was delivered in the ceremony held in Miami. He ordered not just one but two of RR’s EV, with the second one expected to arrive later in 2024.

According to the British luxury automaker, Fux now has taken delivery of more than 15 bespoke commissions, including at least 12 named Bespoke colors. This particular example is finished with a subtle look courtesy of the Tempest Gray exterior paint, standard 23-inch wheels, and a white leather interior with yellow piping. Perhaps the second Spectre will instead get a more radical customization we’re used to seeing from the Fux.

One of which is his Rolls-Royce Dawn finished in Fux Yellow – the last to be delivered in the US. Fux owns ten bespoke colors that can only be used by or with his permission. The other nine include Fux Aequus Green Jade Pearl, Fux Blue Candy, Fux Fuxia Pearl, Fux Fuxia, Fux Intense Jade Pearl, Fux Orange, Fux Purple Candy, Fux Red Candy, and Fux White. These are used on his RR collection consisting of a Wraith, Phantom, Cullinan, Dawn, and Ghost.

As for the newly delivered Spectre, Fux should be able to get around town with arguably the finest EV in the world. The automaker even completed 1.5 million miles of testing worldwide, in different extreme conditions, to refine the vehicle. Engineers have also worked tirelessly to optimize the regenerative braking to prevent an aggressive braking feel.

No technical specifications of Fux’s unit were shared. But from the factory, the Spectre can generate 577 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque – enough to complete a zero to 60 mph acceleration in 4.4 seconds. The EV comes with an EPA-estimated range of 260 miles. With all the refinements and glamour, the Rolls-Royce Spectre has an eye-watering asking starting price of around $420,000. It will compete in the ultra-luxury EV market against the Cadillac Celestiq, which is expected to go into production later this year.
