Lotus Launches New Eletre Carbon and Luxury Bespoke Service in North America

Lotus has launched a new ultra-luxury variant of its electric vehicle (EV) hyper-SUV, the Eletre Carbon, for the North American market. This latest addition to the Eletre lineup arrives with a special appeal through the use of carbon fiber materials.

According to Lotus, the Eletre Carbon distinguishes itself with extensive use of carbon fiber both inside and out, enhancing the EV’s aesthetic appeal while contributing to its structural strength and lightweight design. A standout feature is the exclusive “Stardust” black exterior color with a satin finish, available only for this model.

Matching the capabilities of the Eletre R variant, the Carbon arrives with notable performance figures. With an acceleration from 0 to 60 mph acceleration in 2.95 seconds, the Eletre Carbon delivers a maximum power output of 675kW (905 horsepower) and a top speed of 265 km/h (165 mph). Other specs include an estimated WLTP combined range of 254miles to 280 miles and a 10% to 80% charging in just 18 minutes using a 350kW DC fast charger.

The cabin of the Eletre Carbon offers three new Bridge of Weir leather interiors featuring a dynamic quilting design. Buyers can choose from black, light grey, or dark brown colorways. Additional luxury features include five massage modes, ambient lighting with intuitive driver communication, soft-close doors, and an advanced intelligent panoramic glass roof (switchable between opaque and clear).

The Lotus Eletre Carbon is now available for customization and order in North America, with a starting price of $229,900 in the United States and CAD 313,500 for buyers in Canada. This positions it as the top-tier Eletre variant, with a price point around $85,000 higher than the previous range-topping Eletre R model.

Alongside the Eletre Carbon launch, Lotus has announced the upcoming introduction of its Lotus Chapman Bespoke service to North America.

This division will offer customers the opportunity to commission highly personalized, custom-made Lotus vehicles, ranging from unique badges and trims to complete one-off personalizations.

As Lotus continues to expand its EV lineup, the Eletre Carbon represents a new step in the company’s strategy to combine its sports car heritage with advanced EV technology and luxury features. Deliveries to buyers are projected to start in Q1 2025.
